Details:- Applications are invited on the prescribed form for admission to the following Undergraduate Programmes of this University for Academic Session 2013-14 for general as well as self-financing seats:-
Main Campus, Nauni (Solan)
Institute of Biotechnology & Environmental Science, Neri District Hamirpur (HP)
Minimum Qualification:- 10+2/ equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics/ Agriculture from a recognized Board/ University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% marks in case of SC/ ST candidates) in the above subjects.
Eligibility:- The general seats shall be filled through entrance test scheduled to be held on 16th June, 2013 (Sunday) for which only bonafide/ domicile residents of Himachal Pradesh are eligible. The candidates appearing in 10+2 examination with above subjects during March/ April, 2013 are also eligible to apply. However, self-financing seats are open for all at National level and shall be filled on the basis of merit at 10+2 level plus weightage in sports/ co-curricular activities etc. The counselling shall be held on 12th July, 2013. The candidates applying for self-financing seats are exempted from appearing in the entrance test.
Last Date for submission of application form in office of the Registrar is 21st May, 2013 without late fee and 31st May, 2013 with a late fee of ` 500/- for general seats. The last date in respect of self-financing seats is 3rd July, 2013 without late fee and 9th July, 2013 with a late fee of ` 500/-. Prospectus-cum-application form shall be available in the Academic Section, Office of the Registrar on payment of ` 1000/- in cash at counter (` 750/- in case of SC/ ST category candidates) or by sending bank draft worth ` 1050/- (` 800/- in case of SC/ ST category candidates) drawn in favour of the Comptroller of the University payable at State Bank of Patiala, Nauni/ U Co bank, Nauni. The application form downloaded from the University website www.yspuniversity.ac.in/download and accompanied with a bank draft worth ` 1000/- (` 750/- in case of SC/ ST category candidates) is also accepted.
