Three roads to success! :

Now if this havoc is freaking you out, do not over react, it’s pretty natural. You need to handle the situation with intelligence. See to it this way. You need to reach a mountain full of gemstones (career opportunities), and there are three major roads leading to that destination, the roads being (science, commerce and arts/humanities), and once you swerve your vehicle on any one of the path you see a further division of many small lanes. So, you are basically at the start of your journey, all ready to make a long voyage. Yet one thing is for sure that in the end you will be getting a cluster of precious stones no matter whatever trail you opt for!

How to make sure you are on the right path? :

If you’ve worked real hard for the grades and your vision is clear regarding your flare for any field, the rest of the game is yours certainly. But make sure that your concept or notion regarding any field is not a vague mirage; it has some reality grounds as well. How to really see that your perception is in alignment with the reality is of equal importance. For this you have a free hand to research career profiles with career videos providing details of educational and experience requirements.

The minor lanes:

Let us see the above mentioned academic divisions through a broader spectrum, what further branches the bigger tree comprises of:

Science:

1.    Physics
2.    Chemistry
3.    Biology
4.    English
5.    Mathematics
6.    Biotechnology
7.    Computer science

Commerce:

1.    Accountancy
2.    Economics
3.    Business studies and business law

Arts/humanities:

1.    History
2.    Geography
3.    Political science
4.    Psychology
5.    Sociology
6.    Hindi
7.    English (literature)

This was a very clean segmentation of each subject, but that does not mean that if you opt for science you will be forced to do your majors in physics, chemistry or any other science subject only. These subjects will lead you to broader university disciplines. Engineering for instance is a pure science field, for that you need to have a sound knowledge of physics, math and chemistry. So, viewing career profiles will identify for you the pre-requisites of the wider scope of study you wish to pursue in future.
