CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) announces holding of NET (National Eligibility Test) on behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission) on 28th December 2014 for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online on or before 15th Nov 2014 and printed application form must reach at respective coordinating institute with attendance slip , fee receipt and category certificates by 25th Nov 2014.
Details of Examination:- NET exam will be conducted in 79 subjects at 89 selected NET Coordinating Institutions spread across the country by CBSE on behalf of UGC.
Important Dates:-
- Online Form Submission - 15th October, 2014 to 15th November, 2014
- Last date for Applying Online & generation of filled Bank Challan for Fee - 15th November, 2014
- Last date of submission of Fee through online generated Bank Challan, at any branch of (SYNDICATE /CANARA /ICICI BANK) - 18th November, 2014
- Last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from website - 19th November, 2014
- Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (one copy) and Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Coordinating Institution opted by the candidate (with fee receipt & category certificate(s) - 25th November, 2014
- Candidates must have achieved 55% marks in masters degree or equivalent examination. (min 50% marks for OBC, SC, ST and PWD candidates).
- Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in final year of masters degree examination can also apply.
- The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.
- Candidates can appear in the subject they have passed in their post graduation only.
- For JRF (Junior Research Fellow) - Not more than 28 years as on 01.12.2014.
- For Assistant Professor - No upper age limit.
