Maharashtra Postal Circle (for Maharashtra State and Goa State) is recruiting MTS Multi Tasking Staff (706 Vacancies) from different divisions in 2015 from open market. Here we have published complete syllabus, selection process, exam pattern and marking scheme for Maharashtra Post Office Recruitment 2015 of MTS Multi Tasking Staff in different divisions.

Selection Procedure for Maharashtra MTS Recruitment 2015:

  • The Selection will be made on the basis of Merit list for MTS in the Aptitude test for Maharashtra circle (Maharashtra State & Goa State) as a whole.
  • The allotment of selected candidates will be made as per their choice/ preferences of the divisions & Merit Position. 
  • The applicants who do not mention preference of any divisions or in case of non availability of vacancies in the preferred division, the applicant will be allotted to any other division where vacancy available, after allotment of candidate who have made clear option for the divisions. 
  • The request of the selected candidates for change of allotment to the particular division will not be considered under any circumstances later on.
  • In case two or more candidates secure equal marks in aptitude test preference will be given to the candidate senior in age.
  • If two or more candidates have same score in Aptitude Test and have same age marks of matriculation would be considered for selection.
  • Qualifying Marks :-
    (a) Parts A and B – Minimum 10 marks for OC, 08 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC candidates in each part.
    (b) Part C (Two segments) – Minimum 10 marks for OC, 8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC candidates in each segment.
    (c) 40% marks for OC, 33 marks for SC/ST and 37 marks for OBC Candidates in aggregate.

Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme for MTS Recruitment 2015

  • Aptitude Test will be of Objective type with multiple choice questions.
  • There will be total 100 questions for 100 marks to be answered in 2hours time (120 minutes).
  • The questions on General Knowledge and mathematics will also be supplied in the Regional Languages i.e. Marathi/Konkani in addition to English Language.
  • Part C will be in Marathi for candidates from Maharashtra and in Konkani or Marathi for candidates from Goa State.

Revised and Complete Syllabus for MTS Direct Recruitment Examination 2015

  1. General Knowledge Topics: Indian Geography, Freedom Struggle, Culture & Sports, General Polity & Constitution of India, Indian Economy, General Science, Current Affairs and Reasoning & Analytical ability of 10th Standard. (Examiner may set 2 to 3 questions from each topic).
  2. Mathematics Topics: Number Systems, Decimals & Fractions, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Profit & Loss, Simple Intrest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work and Time & Distance. (Examiner may set 1 to 2 questions from each topic).
  3. English Topics: Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, tenses, verbs, synonyms & antonyms, vocabulary, sentence structure, Proverbs, Phrases and questions from a small unseen passage. (Examiner may set 5 questions from one unseen passage and 1 to 2 questions from each topics).
  4. Regional Language Topics (for Hindi): Mishr & Sanyukt Vakya, Vakyo ka Rupantaran, Swar Sandhi, Alankar, Muhavare & Lokoktiyan, Ashudh Vakya Shodhan, Apathit Gadyansh. (Examiner may set five questions from one apathit Gadyansh and 2 to 3 questions from remaining topics).. These topics shall be replicated in Regional Languages.
