UPPSC Utter Pradesh Public Service Commission has released notification for recruitment for 617 Posts of Rajaswa Nirikshak or Revenue Inspector. Candidates can apply online on UPPSC official website on or before 16 Oct 2014 or read full notification detail here. Here we have given full Examination Pattern, Syllabus, Marking Scheme for this exam in detail.


Plan of Examination: The exam will comprise of two stages viz:

  1. Objective Type Test.

  2. Viva - Voice (Personality Test)

1. Subjects for the Objective Type Test

  • Paper –I  (Total 200 Marks 02 Hours 9.30 A.M. to 11.30 A.M)
  1. Part -I General Studies 100 Questions 100 Marks
  2. Part -II General Aptitute. 50 Questions 100 Marks
  • Paper –II (Total 200 Marks 02 Hours 2.30 P.M. to 4.30 P.M)
  1. Part -I General Hindi 100 Questions 100 Marks
  2. Part -II General Maths 50 Questions 100 Marks

2. Viva – Voice (Personality) Test :- 

  1. Personality Test will be of 50 marks.
  2. This test will relate to the matter of General Interest keeping in view of general awareness, intelligence, character, personality, expression power and general suitability for the service.

Syllabus

First Paper – General Studies : The paper of General Studies will include questions on the following topics :-
  1. General Science.
  2. Current Events of National and International Importance.
  3. History of India. 
  4. Indian national Movement.
  5. Indian polity and Economy .
  6. World Geography and population.
Questions on General Science will cover general appreciation and understanding of Science, including matters of everyday observation and experience, as may be expected of a well educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline. In History of India emphasis should be on broad understanding of economic, Social , Cultural and Political aspects of Indian History. In Indian national Movement, the candidates are expected to have a synoptic view of the nature and character of the Indian freedom movement, growth of nationalism and attainment of Independence. In Indian Polity and economy, questions will test knowledge of the candidate pertaining to Indian Polity including the Indian Constitution. Panchayati Raj and community Development, broad features of Indian economy and planning, In world geography and population, only General understanding of the subjects will be expected with emphasis on physical / ecological, economic and socio-demographic aspects of Geography of India. Candidates are expected to have general awareness about the above topics with special reference to Uttar Pradesh.
