Syllabus, Exam Pattern and Selection Procedure for AP Postal Circle Postman and Mail-Guard Recruitment in Andhra Pradesh in 2015




Andhra Pradesh Postal department has invited applications for recruitment of Postman and Mailguards in various Divisions under AP Postal circle in 2015. Recruitment will be through written examination conducted by AP Postal recruitment board. Here we have published full selection procedure, exam pattern and complete syllabus for AP postal circle recruitment of Postman and Mailguard in 2015.

Selection Procedure for Postman and Mail-Guard in AP postal circle:-

  • Final selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Aptitude Test.
  • A merit list of qualified candidates will he prepared in each Postal/ RMS Division separately. 
  • As per the availability of vacancies as notified above, selection will be made in the respective unit based on the merit list among the candidates applied for that particular Division/Unit.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Postman and Mailguard in AP Postal Circle:-

  • There will be written exam of 100 marks with MCQs multiple choice questions.
  • Total duration of exam will be 120 Minutes (2 Hours).
  • Level of questions in written exam will be that of 10th/ Matriculation.
  • There will be one paper comprising of 4 parts as follows:
    • Part- A for 25 Marks- 25 Questions on General Knowledge, Reasoning and analytical ability- Multiple Choice Question.
    • Part- B for 25 Marks- 25 Questions on Mathematics - Multiple Choice Questions.
    • Part- C Segment -I for 25 Marks- 25 Questions - English language - Objective Type /Multiple Choice Questions.
    • Part- C Segment-II for 25 Marks- 25 Questions - Telugu language - Objective Type / Multiple Choice Questions.

Section wise and Category wise Qualifying marks:-

  • Parts A & B- Minimum 10 marks for OC, 8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC candidates in each part.
  • Part C (Two segments) - Minimum 10 marks for OC, 8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC candidates in each segment.
  • 40 marks for OC, 33 marks for SC/ST and 37 marks for OBC candidates in aggregate with the condition as A & B above.
