1. Aspersion:
Meaning: Defame someone by saying false things, abusive attack on persons character, कलंक लगाना, निंदा करना
Example: He aspersed the place and its inhabitants.
2. Aspire:
Meaning: To desire earnestly, direct one's hopes or ambitions towards achieving something, इच्छा, महत्वकांक्षा
Example: The students in medical schools aspire to be doctors.

6. Astonish:
Meaning: Surprise or impress greatly, चकित करना, हैरान करना
Example: His ability to speak six languages astonish me.
7. Attenuate:
Meaning: Reduce, weaken,
Example: Doctors claim taking the flu vaccine will attenuate the effects of the illness.
8. Audacious:
Meaning: Bold, daring, साहसी,बहादुर
Example: Cooper was an audacious soldier who never ran from a battle.
9. Augment:
Meaning: Increase, make greater by increasing it, बढ़ाना, बड़ा करना
Example: He augmented his summer income by painting houses
10. Austere:
Meaning: Extremely moral, simple and plain, सादगीपसंद, नैतिक, सादा
Example: Even though she appeared austere, my teacher was a very kind woman.
