UIICL United India Insurance Co Ltd is Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) General Insurance Company fully owned by Govt. of India with more than 1600 offices in India. United India Insurance Co. has invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of total 323 specialist and generalist AOs Administrative Officers in various branches across India. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online on UIICL website (link given below) on or before 18/11/2014.

Job Profile:-   Administrative Officers (AOs) Scale - I in Specialist and Generalist disciplines (Finance,  Automobile Engineers, Legal and Generalist).

Pay Scale:- Rs.37,000/- p.m. (approx) in Metropolitan centers. Basic pay in the scale of Rs.17240/- 840(14)- 29000- 910(4)- 32640 and other admissible allowances as applicable.

Important Dates:-
  • Commencement of Online Application:- 29.10.2014.
  • Last date of Online Registration:- 18.11.2014.
  • Payment of Application Fees:-  29.10.2014 to 18.11.2014 (Both dates inclusive ).
  • Downloading of Call Letters for Screening Test:-  10 Days prior to Examination.
  • Downloading of Call Letters for Main Exam:-  10 Days prior to Examination.
  • Date of Screening Test:- Last week of Dec 2014.
  • Date of Main Exam and Descriptive Test:- Third or Last week of January 2015.
  • List of successful candidates for Interview:- February 2015

Educational Qualification:-
  • Finance - Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA)/ MBA FINANCE* / B.COM / M.COM
  • Automobile Engineering - B.E./B.Tech. in Automobile Engineering OR Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with Diploma (at least one year duration) in Automobile Engineering.
  • Legal - Degree in law from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.
  • Generalist - Graduate in any stream.

Age Limit (as on 01.10.2014):- 21-30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved candidates is also applicable.

  • Total Vacancies -  323 (SC-45, ST-21, OBC-87, UR-170, PWD - 7).

Examination Fee:-
  • Rs.500/- for General and OBC candidates. 
  • Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PWD/Permanent Employee of UIIC.

Selection Procedure:- All eligible candidates will be invited for screening test (Objective Type). The eligible candidates who qualify screening test based on cutoff (total 10 times candidates of total seats) shall become eligible to appear for main examination and descriptive test. A candidate shall be required to qualify in descriptive test, but the marks in descriptive paper shall not count for final selection. The finally qualified candidates will be called for interview up to three times the vacancies of the respective categories/discipline and final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the online objective test (main exam) and interview.
