NEET UG 2013 Counselling Schedule and Procedure for Admission to Various Medical Colleges and Institutes




NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) UG results has been out and every one has checked their performance in NEET -2013 test and are curious to get counselling schedule for various government medical colleges across all India, in different states, in army colleges and some reputed private medical colleges. Although it is first time that CBSE has conducted NEET - UG exam and it is a common exam for which has replaced many individual Medical college entrance tests, so no one has any confirmed idea of its further processing. NEET is shortly going to announce further counselling details on their official website and also medical colleges are also going to announce the merit list of students eligible to take part in counselling.

We will keep you updated with new announcements and any notifications till we have got some general information about counseling  schedule and format for NEET UG 2013

Some important points regarding NEET 2013 UG counselling procedure:
  • NEET counseling procedure will be different for candidates applying for different quota seats i.e All India Quota, State Quota, Central University/Institutions quota, Armed Forces Medical Colleges ( AFMC ), Quota in Private Medical colleges in India.
  • Counseling for 15% all India Quota Seats will be conducted online by the Directorate General of Health Services and all the information will be on their website.
  • Contact detail of Directorate General of Health Services nn case the candidates have any queries regarding the NEET UG 2013 Counselling, please contact the following:
    The Assistant Director General (ME),
    Directorate General of Health Services,
    Nirman Bhawan,
    New Delhi – 110108.
    Phone Numbers: Office: 011 – 23062493; Counselling Center: 011 – 23218750.
  • For state quota and AFMC counselling through NEET UG 2013 candidates has to be in contact with the websites of the Medical Education Directorate of their respective states in order to seek admission to the quota seats. This information will also be available in Directorate website and candidates must apply to these seats as per directorate guidelines.
  • Students applying through the NRI or Management quota in Private Medical Colleges have to apply as per the guidelines of the specified college/institution.
  • Students should note that the admissions to the Private colleges are strictly as per the regulations of the concerned state Government or concerned university.
  • At the time of counselling student must read NEET 2013 UG counselling brochure carefully and must carry necessary documents in original and attested photo copies in counseling venue.

      Dear friends,
      Anyone/Admin can suggest how the preference list will work. For example there are 7 colleges in state C1, c2,c3,c4,c5,c6,c7 and this is only the popularity level of colleges. I know that my rank is fit for C5, C6 and C7. In this case what preferences i should fill on top although i know C1 will not be available for me in any case. Please suggest what should be the my action:-
      should i fill choice priority = C5,C6,C7 , C4 ,C3,C2, C1 or
      C1, c2,c3,c4,c5,c6,c7
      or
      C3, C4 , C5 ,C6 , C2, C1,C7
      I do not want C7 and C1 is not possible. Now i wish to have c3 or c4 in second round.
      What is the logic or it is only formality and only rank works.

    it is heard that there are only 1857 seats for govt college under neet exam
    out of which 7.5% goes to general quota and remaining 7.5% for sc,st and obc
    so from my point of view rank 3810 is beyond the chance
