*Candidates should possess full-time, 1st Class qualification in both UG & PG Level, with a minimum of ten years, five years and two years relevant experience in teaching or research for Assistant Professors, Senior Lecturers and Lecturers respectively. Candidate with Ph.D. degree in respective disciplines will be given preference.

Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the posts of Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer / Lecturer and Laboratory Assistants in various subjects for a period of 3 years purely on contract basis from the eligible candidates. For details please visit our website www.cipet.gov.in.
Filled in applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of certificates, mark sheets and experience should reach to this office on or before 21st June 2013. The candidates who had already applied for the above positions with reference to the advertisement dated 14.09.2012 in “Times of India” and “The Samaja”, subsequently advertisement were also released on 26.03.2013 and 27.03.2013 in “The Samaja”, “Dharitri”, “Times of India”, “Telegraph”, “Deccan Chronicle”, “Dainik Bhaskar”, “Deshbandhu” and “Hindustan Times” need not apply again. Retired Professors can also apply. The Institute reserves all the right to reject any / all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
Scale of Pay:
- Assistant Professor/ Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer: Candidates will be paid as per the Sixth Pay Scale of Govt. of India and as per CIPET guide lines. Assistant Professor in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100 & GP of Rs.7600/- ,Senior Lecturers in the pay band of Rs.15600 - 39100 & GP of Rs.6600/- and Lecturers in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100 & GP of Rs. 5400/- with DA. The total emolument at present comes to Rs. 50740/-, Rs. 43602/- and Rs. 36120/- for Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer respectively. Other facilities will be provided as per CIPET norms.
- Laboratory Assistants & Physical Education Faculty: Attractive salary for the deserving candidates based on the qualification and experience.
Application Form: The candidates must apply in the prescribed format displayed on the institute website www.cipet.gov.in. Applications complete in all respect strictly in the format provided, alongwith necessary enclosures in an envelope superscribing the post applied should be sent to the Administrative Officer, CIPET, B-25, CNI Complex, Patia, Bhubaneswar- 751024, Odisha on or before 21.06.2013.
List of enclosures: Date of birth/ Tenth certificate for age proof, attested copies of educational certificates, mark sheets, post qualification experience certificates, any one Identity card with photograph (E.g. Voter ID/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card Ration Card, etc.) and last drawn pay slip.
Selection Procedure:
- Written test of 100 marks will be conducted for short listing of candidates if the applicants are too many. The syllabus for the written test is under graduate level of concerned branch / subject. The test paper will be objective type based on GATE syllabus for respective branch.
- Presentation (20 marks) : Subject knowledge and presentation skills.
- Interview (50 marks) : Personal interview in front of selection committee.
- Final selection will be on 100 marks (qualification and experience 30 marks + presentation 20 marks + interview marks 50 marks)
- Only those candidates will be selected on merit who secures minimum 70 marks out of 100.
Other Terms & Conditions:
- Services shall stand automatically terminated on expiry of tenure or if the performance is not satisfactory on review every year, whichever is earlier.
- Candidates called for interview will be paid AC three tier train / bus fare on production of original ticket.
- Appointment of the candidates will be governed by the CIPET rules and regulations in force.
- The institute reserves all the right to reject any / all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
- No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview. No correspondence shall be entertained from unsuccessful candidates.
- Incomplete/Unsigned applications and applications without required enclosures will be rejected.
- The Institute reserves the right to screen and call only such candidates who are found prima-facie suitable for being considered by the Screening Committee. Mere fulfilling of the norms will not automatically entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Personal, Academic, Professional and all other details of candidates, basis for shortlisting, bench mark by the Screening committee, all reports of the Selection Committee and each and every information in respect of the recruitment and selection process shall be maintained in strict confidence and will not be revealed to anyone whatsoever.
- Canvassing in any form and or bringing in any influence will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
