Full form of CAT --Common Admission Test
Details:
- CAT is computer based test organized by IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management) for admission to various B-Schools and Universities including IIMs, IISc and IITs.
- Before 2009 CAT was paper based test. On May 1 2009 it was declared that CAT will be computer based test.
- The syllabus of CAT is quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability and logical reasoning.
- CAT exam is normally conducted every year in the window of 21 days in the month of October and November.
- Merit list of candidates is prepared according to the score and candidates are invited for counseling and further proceeding in various B- Schools according to All India Rank and Merit in CAT exam.
