Full form of CPE -- Common Proficiency Exam
Details:
- CPT / CPE is entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course (CA Course).
- A candidate first need to register for CPC and after 60 days of registration he can apply for CPT.
- CPT exam is conducted twice a year, normally in June and December.
- Student after passing 10th class can register for CPC and can apply for test after passing 12th exam.
- Students who are graduate/ post graduate with prescribed percentage of marks are exempted from CPT and they can directly apply for IPC course.
- Common Proficiency Test comprises of four subjects i.e., Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude.
- The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each. CPT is an objective type test with negative marking.
