IES and ISS (Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service) exam is conducted by UPSC every year. Here is complete examination pattern, and marking scheme for IES and ISS exams 2015.
Examination Scheme/ Selection Process:
- Recruitment process will be followed in two steps.
- Part-1: Written exam carrying a maximum of 1000 marks.
- Part- II: Viva Voice of selected candidates for total 200 Marks.

- Question papers on all subjects will be of conventional (essay) type.
Part- II Viva Voice
- Qualified Candidates from written examination will be called for Viva- Voice.
- Candidates will be observed by a board of competent and unbiased observers.
- The objective of the interview is to check candidates suitability for the service for which he has competed.
