Answers of above questions:

  1. C
  2. A
  3. B
  4. C
  5. A
  6. E
  7. C
  8. B
  9. A
  10. B

Solution:

1. Total females in City A = 70 * (3/7) = 30
Literate females in City A = 40 * (1/2) = 20
Ratio = 30/20 = 3:2

2. Total females in City B = 64 * (1/2) = 32
Number of literate females in City A = 20
Difference = 32 - 20 = 12
Required percentage = (12/20)* 100 = 60%

3. Total literate males in City C = 48 * (2/3) = 32
Total number of males in City A = 70 * (4/7) = 40
Required percentage = (32/40)* 100 = 80%

4. Total number of males in City D = 80 * (5/8) = 50
Total number of literate males in City D = 50 * (1/2) = 25
So total number of illustrate males in City D is 50 - 25 = 25 lakh

5. Total number of literate females in City A = 40 * (1/2) = 20
Total number of literate females in City B = 44 * (5/11) = 20
Total number of literate females in City C = 48 * (1/3) = 16
Total number of literate females in City D = 50 * (1/2) = 25
Total number of literate females in City E = 36 * (5/12) = 15
So total number of literate females in all cities = 20 + 20 + 16 + 25 + 15= 96 lakh

6. Number of L products sold by store F = 48
Number of L products sold by store E = 40
Required percentage = (48/40) * 100 = 120

7. Total N and L products sold by store D = 61 + 54 = 115
Total N and L products sold by store A = 54 + 48 = 102
Required ratio = 115/102 = 115 : 102

8. Sum of prices by all stores for product Q = 16 + 15 + 14.5 +16 + 18 + 15 = 94.5
Average = 94.5/6 = 15.75*1000
Hence average = 15750

9. Amount earned by A through sale of product P = 75*60 = 4500
Amount earned by B through sale of product Q = 44*15 = 660
Difference = 4500 - 660 = 3840
As price is given in thousand = 3840 * 1000 = 38.4 lakh

10. Amount earned by C through sale of product O = 48*50 = 2400
Amount earned by C through sale of product P = 56*92 = 5152
Total = 7552
As price is given in thousand = 7552 * 1000 = 75.52 lakh
